Home is where the Ragdoll is
Welcome to KatzRagdolls cattery home of Kathy, Kimberly, Anthony, Tasha (the dog), and beautiful Ragdolls. We are a small cattery located in Lake Mary, Fl. just 30 minutes north of Orlando, Fl. We are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association) and a member of RFCI (Ragdoll Fanciers Club International).
Ragdolls Cats were first introduced by the breed originator, Ann Baker of Riverside, California which I had the pleasure of purchasing my first stud cat, Timba from and had many phone conversations with Ann in her early breeding years. Even though the breed originated some thirty years ago, the stories surrounding the Ragdolls beginnings range from the strange to the bizzare, however one thing is certain, Ann Baker through her endeavors has given the world a precious and loving gift, these incredible cats and to her we are truly grateful.
Some the unique characteristics of the breed are their ability to go limp when picked up, hence the name Ragdoll. They will follow you around, watching your every move and helping you do everyday chores. Their gentle relaxed nature and the ability to blend well with all family members both of the human and non-human variety, especially our Border Collie mix, Tasha makes them a lovable breed.
The Ragdoll's coat is semi-long, non-matting and plush, with the feel similiar to rabbit's fur that makes you just want to sink your fingers into their coat. Currently we have seal, seal lynx, blue, and blue lynx some with mittens. Their gorgeous blue eyes will steal your heart away. Their soft, cooing voice will enchant you. As a companion cat the Ragdoll is unsurpassed in beauty and devotion.
